The company with a range of resume writing and consulting services. I was satisfied with the resume I got. However, the cover letter they provided just summarized the information from my resume and didn’t bring any extra value and Skills and summary sections were too generic.
Blueprint is a company offering both resume writing and consulting. They have marks stating that they staff certified writers only. The site design, however, was not very convenient and looked obsolete. As I noticed from the site, they offered quite a wide range of resume services. Moreover, they offer a free rewrite if you haven’t been invited for an interview within 60 days.
Price policy
Of course, the first thing I was interested in was price. Many resume companies charge the enormous amounts for a top manager resume. Yes, their prices were not the cheapest. Resume prices for a fresh graduate started at $185, for a mid-level executive they were $395 and above. Senior directors were charged $485 and above. I chose a package with cover letter and it was $535.
Order details
I clicked on Buy now and it took me to the payment form. I filled in the information and paid the above sum via PayPal. After that, I sent them an old resume and gave a phone number to call me back next day. The next day I got a phone call; they confirmed that they received my payment and documents and asked me the extra questions. We discussed the position I was going to apply for. Moreover, they asked how I would like my resume to be designed.
Quality of writing and support
As soon as we agreed on the main points, they promised to deliver the first draft within 5 days. I didn’t have to fill in any questionnaire either. As for support, there are multiple ways to get in touch with them, however, they don’t provide 24/7 support, like other sites reviewed here, so it’s nearly impossible to reach them out of business hours. When I received the draft, I noticed that my resume was too generic; the writer used template phrases which my resume didn’t contain. So I returned it and asked to make the resume more personal.
Conclusion
It took the writer two days to make the changes I asked for. However, Skills and summary sections still were too generic. In other aspects, I was satisfied with the resume I got. However, the cover letter they provided just summarized the information from my resume and didn’t bring any extra value. That’s why I think I cannot recommend you this service as you can find better ones.
